I am a resident of Kemptown and am very worried by the plans for Sainsbury’s to put a store at the Old Steine.
I was at the Council Cabinet Meeting on Thursday 7 April and was heartened to see that the recommendations made regarding the Keep Brighton Unique petition were passed.
You will therefore now be writing to Sainsbury’s, the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government and the Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Skills about this issue.

Please let me know when you have done this. I would also be glad to hear of any other options to stop this Sainsbury’s opening.
